Weather: Relatively frozen, cloudy overcast but with some blueish sky visible, not too windy

transect at RS_site_transect (Ruschle, Insa).

  • SnowImager transect adjacent to the RS site, every 1 m, along 15 m. Adjacent to 002 at the same site.
    • In every SnowImager footprint, 5 "snow" heights in a 5-dot dice pattern, starting at lower right in anticlock direction, using the ruler, accuracy 1 cm.
    • Sample extraction for salinity/dO18 with the yellow drill bit for 001. The extracted sample was a bit too big for the sample holders; we need the 88 mm.

Wheather: Softened up since morning, overcast with sun disk visible at times, freezing rain (but relatively mild) in the second part of the afternoon (Matthias, Ruschle, Michi).

    • little ridge at 25m, 77m other side of frozen pond, 34 next to big hole (?), frozen at 69m, meltwater at 85m, other side of pond at 83m, 
    • no measurements between 56-62m (measurements at 55m, 63m)
    • restarted SI at 83m
    • ROV site between 135 and 145m
