Projects in EIS are always related to an expedition.
Projects can be designed to be taylored to one expedition only or a range of expeditions, even expeditions over different years can be related to one project.
Projects are setup for each expedition by the scientific coordinator.
The projects (or parts of it) related to an expedition need the project working group and the project working group leader. The project working group need to be setup by the chief scientist of the expedition.

This setup allows the chief scientist to invite the project working group leaders. With project working groups setup, the participants can be invited. Chief scientist and project working group leaders need to be invited as participants, too.

Please check, depending if you are the chief scientist or the project working group leader the information on the following pages:

for chief scientist

for project working group leader

How to: add a "project working group" to the particular project

Logged in as the chief scientist, click on "Project" within the screen, not on "Project" in the menu bar on the left.

Press the button "Add working group to project" and fill in the details:

You need to add at least one project working group per project.

Please fill in all details. Please make sure to add the correct Grant Number.

To ensure that scientific publications based on data produced during an expedition on a plattform or based on data obtained by analysing samples taken on a plattform can be retrieved and attributed to the expeditions,
the scientists involved are obliged to state a grant number when publishing. The "Grant Number" is derived from the voyage number: for example expedition PS130: Grant No = AWI_PS130/1_00 and then consecutively.
