Quality flags provide the user with information on the quality and errors of observations. The aim is the assessment of observations suitability for analyses and research tasks. In accordance with existing standards (e.g. UNESCO 2013), we include a primary and a secondary level. The primary level is ordinal and defines the quality flag. The secondary level provides the information that supports the primary level. Our implementation is extended to provide a direct link between these levels and to a scoring system.
