On board is storing capacity of 500 liter liquid nitrogen in two 200 liter dewars and one 100 liter dewar. The need of liquid nitrogen must be requested in form "Einsatzplanung".
Storing place of the dewars is in scientific device room in E-deck.
A liquid nitrogen generator with capacity of 20 liter per day (<2.0 % oxygen content) will be installed in scientific device room in July 2019.
Provided liquid nitrogen is not of highest quality and is mainly used for cooling. If there is a request for highest quality (99.9%) you need to bring it on board for yourself. Please be aware of the dangerous goods regulations (see also: Expedition equipment / freight).
