Components

The sound velocity probe consits of the probe, the mounting cage and the computer (XPC3 in dry lab) with the installed software DataLog Express. RS232 interface connects the computer to the probe. The sound velocity profiles can be transferred to the computer of the multibeam echo sounder EM712 via the computer network.
