Summary
The SBE 38 is integrated as a remote temperature sensor with the thermosalinograph (SBE 21) to provide accurate water temperature. Real-time temperature data is transmitted in ASCII characters (in °C or raw counts) via an RS-232 or RS-485 serial interface for display or logging by PC or data logger.
