The thermosalinograph keel 1 consists of the SBE21, the external thermometer SBE38, NMEA interface box and a pipe system with a flow meter. The system is located in the box keel together with a second SBE21 thermosalinograph keel 2. The water inflow is in about 11 m depending on the ships draft.

Shortly after the cruise the uncorrected thermosalinograph measurement data are available at the DShip onshore system https://dms.awi.de. As soon as a post-cruise calibration was performed, the data are processed and uploaded in PANGAEA.
