    •  30-t stern boom KN 300, E-deck, AG „Weser" Seebeckwerft
Mainly for scientific purpose. A horizontal traverse with winch can be installed to lift up e.g. an ROV.

Sliding beam cranes:

    • 20-t sliding beam, ship's stern, E-deck, starboard, Hatlapa
Used for scientific operations with 18mm cables which are provided by winches GE 72.1, GE 52.1, GE 52.2, FN 62.1 or FN 62.2. An additional frame can be mounted to operate piston or gravity corer.

    • 5-t sliding beam, ship's stern, E-deck, starboard, Hatlapa
Used for scientific operations with cables provided by decks winches with cables of 11mm or 6mm diameter.

Winches for research equipment:

    • Double-friction winch: model SFFW 149/149, manufacturer AG-Weser Seebeckwerft. The winch is installed midships astern of the superstructures on the E-deck. It is constructed for usage with 18-mm wires (single conductor wires) and 30-mm trawling cables for fishing.

    • Storage winch GE 72.1: portside storage winch for 18-mm "geo" wire (9.100 m). The winch is installed astern in front of the friction winch on E-deck. Manufacturer: KGW Schwerin.

    • Storage winch GE 52.1: Storage winch for 18.2-mm fiber optic cable (8.000 m)
The winch is equipped with pigtail for electric supply and fiber optic data transfer.

    • Storage winch GE 52.2: Storage winch for 18.2-mm fiber optic cable (8.000 m)
The winch is equipped with pigtail for electric supply and fiber optic data transfer.

    • Portside storage winch FN 62.1: Storage winch for 30-mm trawling wire (3.000 m). The winch is installed astern behind the friction winches on E-deck. Manufacturer: AG-Weser Seebeckwerft
Alternative operation of 8.000 m, 18mm "geo" wire (change of wire in Bremerhaven only).

    • Starboard side storage winch FN 62.1: Storage winch for 30-mm trawling wire (3.000 m). The winch is installed astern behind the friction winches on E-deck. Manufacturer: AG-Weser Seebeckwerft
Alternative operation of 8.000 m, 18mm "geo" wire (change of wire in Bremerhaven only).

    • 4-t winch EL 31: Winch for 11-mm COAX conductor cable (7.500 m), The winch is installed astern on E-deck. Manufacturer: AG-Weser Seebeckwerft
      Mostly used for CTD casts.

    • 4-t winch EL 32.1: Winch for 11-mm COAX conductor cable (7.000 m). The winch is installed astern on E-deck. Manufacturer: AG-Weser Seebeckwerft
      Also used for CTD casts.
