How to reach the island?

by ship

• from Cuxhaven with MS Helgoland managed by shipping company Cassen-Eils (yearround)
• from Cuxhaven with catamaran Halunder Jet managed by FRS Helgoline (only summer season)

by plane

• from Heide/Büsum or Nordholz/Spieka managed by Ostfriesicher Flug-Dienst (daily)

Accommodation for course participants and tutors

21 double and 6 single rooms are available in our Wilhelm-Mielck guest house (Wilhelm-Mielck-Haus) for the accommodation of course participants and carers. The guest house has two fully equipped kitchens for self-catering and a dining room with a TV corner. As a rule, two courses share the use of the guest house, so for reasons of politeness and consideration it is essential to observe the house rules. Please ask the guest research team for the current accommodation costs.  Towels and bed linen are provided. Washing machine and dryer are available in a separate drying room. Accomodation for visiting researchers

Furnished single rooms are available in our Athur-Hagmeier guest house for the accommodation of visiting researchers. The guest house has a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering and a common room with TV. As the guest houses are very busy from May to September, early booking is advisable. Furthermore, single and double room flats with kitchen and bathroom, some of which are suitable for the disabled, are available (early booking required).
