Seismic streamers are used to record reflection seismic signals. Streamers are cables filled with hydrophones. Sea-ice poses risk to streamers (damage or even loss), in sea-ice conditions the short analogue streamer with up to 600 m lenght and 96 channels is used. The length of the streamer can be adjusted accordingly to sea-ice conditions. |
