Note
titleAttention:

The absolute pressure transducer DPM7885 is permantly installed in both aircraft as part of the Basic Meteorology module. Additionally, the pressure transducer is installed in nose booms used for turbulence measurementsMagnetic compensation flight procedures are required after each new installation of the magnetic sensors.

contenttypeSummary

Magnetic measurements provide can reveal the strength and direction of the geomagnetic field. Therefore, 2 Cesium Magnetometers One or two Cesium magnetometers are mounted in a Nose and a Tail Boom to the aircraftcombination of nose and/or tail booms. In addition, a Fluxgate Magnetometer for attitude compensation is installed. The sensor system is and real-time compensation are controlled by an external unit (AADC II) mounted in a rack. Magnetic base stations with Overhauser magnetometers are used for ground reference of the airborne measurements.
