Some advises for the daily life onboard
Do not forget:
- Work safety shoes of class S3 in case you travel to warmer areas where the boots are too warm.
- Laboratory clothing and protection equipment
Warm socks and underwear
- Scarf or muffler
- Bathing suits for the swimming pool
- Towels for the sauna
- Work out clothing
- Shampoo, soap etc. for the first days before the boardshop opens
- Tissues
- Because of the dry air from the air-conditioning you may need spray to moisten your nose and probably eye drops as well. You should also consider to bring body lotion.
- Casual wear. It is rather warm onboard.
- Casual shoes or slippers for indoors.
- LAN-cable of at least 2,5m length for connecting your notebook to the network in the chamber or laboratory.
- Cash for paying in the boardshop (€uro
- EC-card, credit card
- VISA, if needed
- PASSPORT, 6 validity after expedition end and two empty pages!
What you will find onboard:

- Safety vests (self-inflatable at water contact)
- Helicoper survival suits with safety vests and helmets
- Books, music, video
- Drinks and sweets
- Mineral water will be distributed free of charge
- Bed sheets and towels

Nicht vergessen:
- Arbeitssicherheitsschuhe (Sicherheitsklasse S3), falls Sie in warmen Regionen unterwegs sind und die Stiefel zu warm sind
- Laborbekleidung und Schutzausrüstung
Warme Socken
- Warme Unterwäsche
- Schal, Schlauchschal
- Badehose für's Schwimmbad
- Saunatuch für die Sauna
- Sportsachen
- Handseife,Duschgel,Shampoo etc.für die ersten Tage, bis der Bordshop öffnet
- Taschentücher
- Wegen der trockenen Klimaanlagenluft ggf.:
- Nasenspray zur Befeuchtung der Nasenschleimhäute
- Befeuchtende Augentropfen
- Körperlotion
- Leichte Freizeitkleidung. An Bord ist es eher warm.
- Leichter Freizeitschuh oder Hausschuh für innen
- LAN-Kabel zum Laptopanschluss in der Kammer (mind.2,5m) oder im Labor.
- Bargeld zum Bezahlen im Bordshop (€uro)
- EC-Karte, Kreditkarte
- VISUM, falls erforderlich
- REISEPASS, 6 Monate nach Expeditionsende gültig und mit 2 leeren Seiten!
Was alles an Bord ist:
- Sicherheitshelme
- Arbeitssicherheitswesten (selbstaufblasend bei Wasserkontakt)
- Helikopteranzüge mit Rettungsweste und Helm
- Bücher, Musik, Video
