Connect your PC/notebook
- Please make sure your Antivirus software is up to date before connecting to the ship's network.
- Set your network adapter's IP settings to Automatic "DHCP".
- Connect your device by ethernet cable or by Wifi to the ship's network.
- The connection and assignment of an IP address will automatically be established.
Access network shared folders (on xdc1)
The data storage server "xdc1" is available four you to store and exchange data during the cruise.
The network share is available here: \\xdc1.fs-heincke.local\home (User: fs-heincke\scientist, password by crew)
It contains folders for Master, Crew and Scientists to save data to.
The storage is backed up once per day at 20:00 UTC.
Access network printers (on xdc1)
The server "xdc1" also provides network printers.
On \\xdc1.fs-heincke.local (fs-heincke\scientist, password by crew) you will find a list of printers you can connect to.
