Different types of safety and emergency equipments needs to be carried by each individual or by groups depending on the area where they are working in on the ice. The equipment depends on the distance from the vessel, where the work needs to be done and will be determined by the cruise leader beforehand. Precise planning regarding the required equipment should be done before the expedition start to define the necessary equipment that needs to be brought on board.
