Journey to and from a destination
Transporting scientific equipment in your hand luggage may lead to problems with customs at the airport and should therefore be avoided. Alcohol and tobacco products must not be brought onboard yourselves because the captain cannot attend to his reporting obligations in the harbours. Own custom goods (z.B. alcohol, zigarettes, other purchases) have to be taken off the ship personally. A later pick-up in Bremerhaven is not possible. Pay attention to customs regulations and exempt amounts! You yourself are liable in the event of violation!
