Allergies of expedition members
Please inform the AWI ship coordination about allergies that according to the medical officers assessment do not prevent you from taking part in the expedition but may nevertheless influece processes onboard.
The characteristics of allergies, especially food allergies, may differ a lot. It can only be decided on a case-by-case basis whether a healthy diet can be ensure onboard. Please contact us in due time so that we can decide to what extend we may be able to support you.
Generally there is no garantuee that certain allergen do not occur in the food products onboard. Possibilities onboard are restricted and a 100% availability of information on ingredients and additives does not exist. You will take part in the expedition and meals onboard at your own risk.
