Attention:
The operation of the Ocean Optics Spectrometer requires experienced personnel on board the aircraft.
Summary
KT19.85II is a remote-sensing thermometer used to determine the temperature of a surface from the distance by measuring the amount of thermal radiation emitted from the surface. KT19.85II is operates in the spectral range of 9.6 - 11.5 µm. Data are stored within the DMS framework on ADA-C1.

Available devices and Specifications
The Ocean Optics NIRQuest NIR spectrometers and QE65000 spectrometer are usually installed simultaneously. The fibre optics sensors are installed at the cabin roof looking upward or in the floor compartment looking downward. The are connected to the spectrometers by fibre optics cables. Data aquisition is controlled by an operator PC installed in a rack. A DC/DC converter also installed in a rack provides the required voltage of 5 VDC for the spectrometers.
