Main improvements and changes in v3.6

 

  • Sea ice thickness is calculated in swath format, and the daily mean sea ice thickness product is derived from the swath data.
  • In version 3.6, the RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) filtering scheme has been updated and improved to gain more data coverage in the Arctic.
  • Instead of Near Real Time JRA-3Q/JRA-55 reanalysis, that is used in v3.3, climatology of 2 m air temperature and 10 m wind speed from ERA5 reanalysis data (2010-2023) has been used in new 3.6 version.


Main improvements and changes in v3.3

  • Transition of L1C data from v620 to v724.
  • Polar stereographic projection updated to NSIDC EPSG 3413 for Northern Hemisphere.
  • Output files are now in NetCDF v4 .
