Summary

The Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) System operates in the frequency range 400-800 MHz. It shows the structure of the upper 100 m of ice masses with a vertical resolution in decimeter range.

Origin Description:The transmitting and the receiving antenna are installed at the outer wing stations of the left and right hand wing, respectively. The data aquisition system is installed in a rack within the aircraft.
