Weather: sunny, a but of wind, frozen SSL
Note: measuring snow heights today with ruler and avalanche probe to compare the measurements, still...

snowpit at CORING site (Matthias, Ruschle)
Measurements:
- SnowImager (surface at 3 locations (1.5 m apart) and interface at 2 location (in the same pit)), SSA + density grid. Note 940 at 2nd interface with grid missing!
- snow height (every 0.3 m along 4.5 m, left and right of actual snowpit) (with ruler, and avalanche probe)
- Density, Salinity, dO18, BC
- Temperature
- Sample for microCT
- Salinity and dO18 sample of interface
- Photogrammetry for surface roughness
9:00-20:45 PS149_32-1-snowpit_063
transect at CORING site (Matthias, Ruschle)
Snow heights again measured with ruler and avalanche probe.
starting from snowpit:
- 20 m, every m, EW, SSA starting at 0m, last measurement at 20 m (additional 850nm measurement at beginning; ask Matthias if that's the dummy?). Funky measurements at the end for fun (see middle image of the right).
- Photogrammetry at 5,10,15,20m, (0 already at snowpit)
The transect (063) ended up changing to go parallel to the left of the pond instead across it, all the way to the next pond.
