How is scientific data recorded?

Downside:

• prone to error (handwritten notes, transcribing…)

• high risk for Data cementries (Scientist leaves institute without having digitalised the data)

Solution:  Digital Data Acquisition (e.g. via voice recognition software)

Advantages: 

• Digitalisation of data during collection
• saves time and reduces transcription errors
