Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Submission of diplomatic research applications in accordance with the Convention on the Law of the Sea
- Submission of applications to the BSH in accordance with the Federal Mining Act
- Compliance with Nagoya Protocol
- Compliance with regulations on the import of animal by-products
- Compliance with customs regulations Expedition equipment
- Check UAS/drone permit
- Check medical fitness of participants depending on the area of travel
- Reporting, publications
- Completion and submission of mission planning with list of participants
- Appropriately delegate, organise and monitor occupational health and safety of participants. Compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Check completeness of data of all participants in the Expedition Interface System - EIS on an ongoing basis.
- Implement the Code of Conduct on board and ensure compliance.
- Disciplinary management of participants. Enforce order and cleanliness.
- Plan chamber occupancy
- Coordinate work schedules with the ship's command
- Checking the visas of the participants, if necessary
- Handle incidents, accidents and emergencies. Immediate report to AWI ship coordination!
