Expedition Interface System - EIS
From PS113 on logistic handling of expeditions with RV Polarstern will be conducted via a web-based application.
Personal data, planning of arrival / departure, expedition equipment and freight are registered step by step.
Expedition partitcipants are invited by Email and have to login on EIS. Then the required data can be filled in step by step. The entries may be saved so that they are available for further expeditions.
The handling is rather self-explanatory. Still, information about the single items may also be found in EIS where those are helpful.
From PS121 it is mandatory to register your freight for your expedition via EIS.

Time schedule logistics - EIS
Deadlines and submission dates for logistical information are displayed for the relevant groups of persons in the EIS.
In addition, automated reminder emails are sent in good time before the deadlines.
