On board is storing capacity of 500 liter liquid nitrogen in two 200 liter dewars and one 100 liter dewar. The need of liquid nitrogen must be requested in form "Einsatzplanung".
Storing place of the dewars is in scientific device room in E-deck.
A liquid nitrogen generator with capacity of 20 liter per day (<2.0 % oxygen content) is permanently installed in scientific device room on E-Deck.
Provided liquid nitrogen is not of highest quality and is mainly used for cooling. If there is a request for highest quality (99.9%) you need to bring it on board for yourself. Please be aware of the dangerous goods regulations (see also: Expedition equipment / freight).
Internal tank has storing capacity of 40 liter.
For additional storage a mobile dewar with capacity of 200 liter is available. Typically it is filled in several steps from the internal dewar of the generator.
