The observatory is always manned with a weather radio technician and a meteorologist during scientific cruises. The facilities of the meteorological observatory can be co-used by scientists for special measurements. | ||
Please note that operations of some of the meteorological devices require experienced scientific staff on board. The systems are not operated by the ship's crew. Announce operations with echo sounders to AWI-Logistics prior to the cruise and clarify the data transfer after the cruise. |
