Note
titleAttention:

LD90 VQ580 is a CLASS 1 3B Laser Product which is safe under reasonably foreseeable conditions of operation. Direct exposure to the laser radiation is dangerous and may cause severe damage to eyes and skin.

DO NOT UNNECESSARILY LOOK INTO THE TRANSMITTER LENS!

DO NOT UNNECESSARILY POINT THE TRANSMITTER LENS AT PEOPLES EYES!

The invisible laser radiation INSIDE the instrument may exceed the accessible emission limits of laser class 1, thus never open the instrument's housing and never operate damaged instruments.

Aligning the infrared laser instrument LD90 with the lenses of CCD-cameras or infrared night vision devices can result in damage to themOperation of the VQ580 requires experienced staff on board the aircraft.

contenttypeSummary

The LD90 is a Laser Distance Sensor which determins the distance to an object by means of transit time technique. It can be operated in the temperature range of -10 to +50°C. The maximum range is 2500m with an accuracy of 2.5cm. Frequency of measurement is ???Airborne Laser Scanner with Online Waveform Processing (high-accuracy) provides high speed, non-contact data acquisition using a narrow near-infrared laser beam and a fast line scanning mechanism. It was especially designed to measure on snow and ice.
