Magnetic measurements provide the direction of the geomagnetic field. Therefore, 2 Cesium Magnetometers are mounted in a nose boom and a tail boom. In addition, a Fluxgate Magnetometer for attitude compensation is installed. The sensor system is controlled by an external unit (AADC II) mounted in a rack.
